About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Contract Management Support Specialist in the HQDA, Office of Provost General (OPMG) and reports directly to the Chief, OPMG Support Office (GS-15). Primarily responsible for assisting in, the management of existing contract requirements, and the development/identification of near and long range acquisition requirements
Duties
Serves as HQDA, OPMG contract specialist responsible to perform and/or participate in all phases of the acquisition process.
Serves as the OPMG?s technical advisor on all aspects of acquisition and contracting activities.
Executes the OPMG program implementing the Secretary of the Army policy on approval of service contracts, to include service contracts for all OPMG Field Operating Activities (FOAs).
Assists in the reviewing of the procurement of services contracts.
Assists in the development of systems to evaluate and monitors contractual performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Applicant selected for movement into positions covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse prevention and Control Program must sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program)
- Must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Position is subject to random drug testing IAW AR 690-85.
- Temporary Duty travel of 15% may be required.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- This position is not designated as Key (2) essential.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and identifying near and long range plans to meet service contract requirements; acquisition planning, documentation preparation and implementing policy on the approval of service contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
