About the Position: This position is located at the USAJFK SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER & SCHOOL in Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Plans for the implementation of military personnel operations within the battalion and its subordinate units.
Provides technical advice and guidance to the battalion regarding a wide variety of military human resources (HR) functions.
Oversees and manages the Battalion personnel activities. Provides assistance to subordinate units on HR matters.
Serves as office manager for and executive assistant to the command group.
Ensures maintenance of internal records for accurate data reporting.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY will be required 5%.
- This is a TERM NTE 2 years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience in HR Military functions which include strength management, evaluations, and personnel actions. 2) Identify efficiencies and solutions to problem areas impacting the success of military personnel operations 3) Interpreting and applying Human Resources policies that impact manning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in 1) Experience in applying Military Personnel Management methods, principles and practices, administering, delivering, maintaining, advising on, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Military Human Resources to the organization, management, and mission requirements of Military organizations;2) Experience in managing Army Training Resources and Requirements System (ATTRS) and Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A). 3) Communicating orally and in-writing to articulate recruitment program information to leadership.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
