The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is seeking a Mission/Business Analyst to support Glenn Research Center (GRC). This individual will be a strategic partner to GRC stakeholders by understanding, documenting, and advocating for mission needs, identifying organizational trends, ensuring requirements are met by the appropriate OCIO organizations, facilitating resolution to escalated customer issues and collaborating cross-functionally to bridge gaps.

Duties

Understand and communicate services and capabilities provided by the OCIO. Determine future needs of the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) community. Document, communicate and advocate for these needs through the OCIO communities of practice and Service Line points of contact. Utilize existing resources and implement other mechanisms, as-needed, to identify trends impacting customer experience. Provide analysis and facilitate discussion related to these trends. Ensure conflicting stakeholder requirements are mediated appropriately and facilitate resolution to persistent escalated issues. Triage customer needs to the most appropriate area(s) within the OCIO for fulfillment. Proactively seek and share information to promote a customer-centric culture. Use cross-functional knowledge to inform the broader organization. Collect information from and provide guidance to GRC business analysts. Interact with business analysts to understand current operational needs and customer relationship management activities underway.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. collaborating cross-organizationally to establish IT needs to meet overall program goals; establishing internal criteria to determine and assess performance of an IT organization; implementing strategies for IT integration across services and information technology initiatives. AND IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
