Duties
Develops and coordinates a comprehensive national medical education program which consists of courses and curricula designed for a wide variety of health care providers. Identifies training needs and meetings those needs both in residential programs as well as in self-development training methodologies. Coordinates a wide range of program, management and administrative support services for residential programs (National Accreditation Programs, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Dental). Performs needs assessments, task analysis, course design and developmental planning, and coordinates all projects for national continuing professional medical education programs.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.
Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination administrative, clinical or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:
Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems;
Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and
Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas, such as budget, personnel, and procurement.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience with managing continuing professional education for medical, dental, pharmacy and nursing accreditation with the national accrediting bodies;
Experience in medical staff training processes and requirements for Joint Commission, ACA and other external Health Care Organizations.
Experience in developing and coordinating a comprehensive continuing medical education program for a wide variety of health care providers.
