Duties

Serves as a Program Officer for various ACAT I, II and/or III programs within the Project/Product Managers (PM) Office. Manage all activities engaged in the acquisition of the programs which include associated contractors for the implementation of the organization?s portion of the system, and to plan, program, and budget for the project. Plans, conducts and/or directs highly complex reviews and initiates reports which are provided to higher headquarters and other commands with recommendations on the best courses of action. Reviews input from team leaders at integrated logistics systems sites worldwide for appropriateness of requests, availability of resources, and compatibility with the integrated logistics effort.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Business travel required up to 35% of the time.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position and requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years.
  • This position requires submission of the Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
