This position is part of the WAPA Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be serve as a first-level supervisor for Cyber Operations (A2101) within the A2100 Information Technology (IT) cybersecurity team, reporting to the WAPA Chief Information Security Officer
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.**

You must meet both the Basic Requirement and Specialized Experience to qualify for this series as described below.
BASIC REQUIREMENT
Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following items - specialized experience must be fully described in your resume to receive proper credit:
Provides program direction and management for the cybersecurity operations services provided by the Cyber Security Team.
Performs or directs detailed analysis of cyber security functions to be performed, interoperability of proposed cyber systems, infrastructure security requirements, security related software, and support requirements of personnel resources, facilities, and equipment.
Considers ongoing projects, planned future projects, and capabilities and recommends acceptance/non-acceptance of new cyber security projects.
Evaluates cyber program accomplishments and adjusts assignments as necessary to accommodate new or changing priorities.
