You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Technical Information Library Branch in the Corporate Operations Department Code 1033 known as the Corporate Research & Information Center located in Naval Base Newport; Newport, Rhode Island NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. Duties

You will serve as the branch head for the technical information library branch in the corporate operations department. You will oversee the branch Corporate Research and Information Center programs, personnel, and branch level efforts. You will supervise which includes leading, coaching, and mentoring subordinate employees. You will support research, development, test and evaluation processes performed by scientists and engineers and by research users across all participating commands. You will develop and enhance online digital library tools and services supporting researchers Department of Defense wide. You will analyze and evaluate proposed changes in mission, operating procedures and delegations of authority. You will conduct annual and spot inventory of classified materials. You will review the preparation of original papers, articles, or reports in scientific, technical, or professional many scientific disciplines. You will establish management techniques and methods used to control/configure/inventory a complex collection of technical information and digital library platform. You will maintain effective working relationships, internal and external to the organization. You will manage branch programs, branch level efforts, administrative services, inventory management, maintain and enhance online research tools.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Willing and able to accept a supervisory position.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 15 pounds in weight.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as an analyst: establishing and executing techniques and methods to enhance online research tools and services for the support of mission projects and compliance with standard operating procedures.
