This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as Deputy to the Director of the Logistics & Technical Support Directorate (LTSD), Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Duties
Supports the Director by ensuring optimal operations and the functions of three branches within the LTSD: Analysis and Analytics, Supply Chain MGT and Technical Information MGT.
Supports the Director in overseeing the development, evaluation, control, and interpretation of situational and statistical analyses.
Supports the Director with oversight and administrative control over a variety of Projects and Optimization Initiatives.
Supports the Director in oversight, management and control of Provisioning and Cataloging processes and procedures for Army CLVIII..
Supports the Director with oversight, management and control of the Medical LCMC Obsolescence surveillance and DMSMS programs.
Supports the Director in overseeing engineering and Logistic/Product Support Analysis and modeling.
Supports the Director in the management of the evaluation, refinement, documentation, training and standardization of Command supply chain policy, procedures and processes.
Employs expert knowledge of supply chain management knowledge and device life cycle management principles, concepts and practices.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in Product Support Management and DoD Life Cycle Logistics (LCL-advanced level)
Supports the Director in overseeing and administrative control of Technical Data management, development of policies, guides and procedures, forms and Technical publications IAW Army Publication and Authentication standards and specifications.
Supports the Director in managing performance measures and metrics, achieving Directorate goals and objectives and developing and communicating status, briefs, presentations and progress reviews.
Performs special projects and studies to include examination and analysis of potential logistical problems and recommendations for testing and improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to the mission of the organization.
Requirements
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position requires a secret security clearance.
- This position requires Advanced certification in the Acquisition Career Field "Life Cycle Logistics" or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain certification within 60 months of appointment.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics practitioner certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP- non division head) and will require a 3 year tenure agreement (DD form 2888).

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: experience developing and maintaining supply chain management metrics, measures and trends; experience in reviewing progress towards established supply chain transformation program objectives; experience providing advise to senior personnel on systems, equipment and devices maintenance and logistics support, to include the integrated product support management and analysis; experience in advanced Data Analytics and Analysis; experience in effective communication and briefing senior leadership; and experience in program and project management.
