About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with the U.S. Army Cyber Command, at Fort Eustis.

Duties
Provide input to higher headquarters for the command budget.
Analyze and implements budget policy and procedures.
Identifies requirements shortfalls and tradeoffs and prepares appropriate supporting documentation.
Monitors budget levels to ensure legal/efficient use of funding and analyzes spending trends, obligations, expenditures, and reimbursements.
Develop performance standards, rate employees, approve leave, resolve complaints; and recommend employee awards, rewards and recognition.
Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations, as required by higher headquarters.
Supervise the Budget staff by assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Position requires up to 25% TDY.
- Overtime may be required during unique situations and or during year end budget closeout.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
