You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) within NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as the recognized functional authority for assigned Information Technology (IT) systems and applications. You will create or modify various functional or design documents such as financial, supply, acquisition and/or other government functional requirements. You will plan and coordinate feasibility studies to determine practicality of requirements from an Information Technology (IT) standpoint. You will develop or oversee the development of overall test plan for the assigned area of responsibility and certify that all testing has been successfully completed. You will provide technical guidance to lower graded employees and/or user personnel.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 641 - Intermediate level within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of a wide range of Information Technology (IT) policies, procedures, regulations, and standards to manage IT project and supply system requirements; 2) Providing customer support regarding how the system operates and/or systems research; 3) Working knowledge of IT system life cycle, including design, test, implementation, modification, and maintenance; 4) Developing overall test plan for assigned area of responsibility and managing the overall planning/coordination of the testing process; and 5) Identifying, analyzing, and improving business practices to meet new or existing goals and objectives. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
