This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service About the Position: Position located at US Army Cadet Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G8, Budget Division, Fort Knox, KY

Duties

Perform analytical and administrative duties in the formulation and execution of a budget program Maintain automated ledgers Monitor expenditures for program account Prepare and justify budget

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Temporary duty (TDY), approximately 5% of the time.
• FMC-02 required within 24 months of appointment.
• One year probationary period may be required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-07: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes assembling, reviewing and filing various funding packets consisting of analyzing and resolving routine problems. Assist in preparing reports and briefings. Participate in special initiatives, studies and projects. Assist with work that involves fund control and accounting with ensuring compliance with policies, regulations and procedures utilizing an automated information system. GS-09: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work that involves verifying the accuracy of funding documents, updating records of status funds, comparing documents and requests for funds with account balances and also; experience with work that involves automated fund control and formal accounting procedures.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job you may qualify if you meet the following educational requirements;

GS-07 - 1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement (Transcripts required).

GS-09 - 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree. if related to the position (Transcripts required).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
