About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst for the US Army Marketing and Engagement Brigade (USAMEB), Plans, directs, and coordinates the budgetary functions of the USAMEB and its associated Battalions.
Duties
Presents information in the appropriate format and justifies it to reviewing and approving authorities.
Execute budget policies and procedures in conformity with DoD/DA guidelines.
Review requests submitted by directorates and activities to assure accuracy and consistency to command policies and priorities.
Lead role in the formulation, development, and justification to support USAMEB resources/requirements.
Plans, coordinates, consolidates, evaluates, controls, formulates, presents, and executes the prior, current, budget year, and Program Objective Memorandum
(POM) for the USAMEB.
Plans the work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes formulate, develop and present budget guidance and data in support of multi-year operating goals; analyze and revise estimates; prepare obligation execution plans; and use automated financial systems to identify trends in fund utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted.
