About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7 USA Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA) Fort Eustis VA. Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Serve as a Senior Budget Analyst in the Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA), Financial Management Division.
Responsible for funding Continental United States and Outside Continental United States training of international students under the Security Cooperation/Security Assistance Training Programs.
Initiate and execute funding procedures in the Defense Security Assistance Management System.
Advise management on the preparation and transactional flow of detailed financial activity.
Review and validate funding requirements from Standardized Training Listings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Financial Management Level 2 Certification required certification within 24 months from your hire date.
- The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within 3 years of appointment to this position's SCW certification level: SC Case Life Cycle Management (AOC) - Intermediate Level.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) manage and execute budgets and budget programs; 2) prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, obligation, and expenses; AND 3) develop, issue guidance and make policy interpretations for dissemination to subordinate activities affecting substantive worldwide programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
