The primary purpose of this position is to Serve as consultant to commanders and installation level leadership on matters related to personal and family readiness.
Air Combat Command (ACC), 70th Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Wing (70 ISRW), 707th Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaisance Group (707 ISRG), 707th Force Support Squadron (707 FSS), Military and Family Readiness (FSH), Fort Meade, MD.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Military and Family Readiness Flight. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and Military and Family Readiness Flight objectives to build and enhance installation unit and family readiness through center-based, unit based and community outreach delivery.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinates and/or team leads. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for Airman and Family Readiness programs to ensure operations are in line with regulatory and fiscal requirements, support goals, and mission requirements.

- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

- NSA Access: The employee must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1 for access to NSA sites and systems.
- Polygraph: Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.

- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Emergency Essential: This position is emergency-essential. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency-Essential duties until relieved by proper authority.
- The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
- Leave accrual may be authorized upon request
- This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This meets the criteria of an Emergency-Essential position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
Basic Requirements
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices within the Military and Family Readiness organization. The employee would gain the applicable knowledge, apply notable skills and abilities that would be gained through extended graduate study or experience within the work environment. The practical knowledge of this technical field will assist in the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures within the scope of duties andresponsibilities aligned to this position. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Professional knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to social or behavioral science.
2. Knowledge of financial, budget, resource management practices and principles, and analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices and procedures.
4. Skill in effectively organizing and utilizing community resources within the program framework to augment the program to meet installation objectives.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
