Duties
You will conduct long and short-range resource requirement forecasts by analyzing the facility program goals and objectives.
You will advise on the repair and maintenance of facility projects by applying standard building construction techniques.
You will consult with facilities managers and engineering personnel to clarify scope of work.
You will analyze laws, regulations, and procedures to assist project managers in obtaining maximum utilization of resources.
Requirements

- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing all projects for scope, complexity, and design insuring all data is recorded into corporate data management systems (i.e. MAXIMO); 2) Performing facility inspections applying knowledge of all trades and structures to assess and record repair/replacement requirements and estimates into data management systems; 3) Conducts periodic meetings and visits to identify any facility problems that have developed and is the main point of contact for any issue; and 4) Makes visits to sites to determine the actual nature of work requests and enters any clarifications into Maximo or equivalent asset management software. GS-12:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducts periodic meetings and inspection visits to identify any facility issues that may have developed, facilitate work execution to correct issues, and provide advice on projects and concerns; 2) Applies knowledge of all trades and structures to assess and record facility repair/replacement requirements and estimates into data management systems; 3) Utilizes asset management system to record workflow data such as Maximo or equivalent; 4) Monitors recurring or unexpected service requests for facilities and identifies when additional funds are required; 5) Performs as customer liaison for facility service contracts; 6) Conducts assessments on completed facility work to ensure contract compliance; and 6) Meets with contracting representatives to identify issues and concerns associated with facility projects. Education
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in one of the following Major fields of study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in one of the following Major fields of study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
OR
LL.M., if related.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. Note: This information must be supported in your resume and you must also submit a copy of your transcripts.
