You will serve as a SUPV FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST within the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT & SUSTAINMENT (FM&S) CORE in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the centralized inspection programs of NAVFAC Washington (Backflow, VTE, Fire Protection, Asbestos).

Duties

You will manage inspection programs for facilities maintenance, i.e., elevator, backflow prevention, and fire protection, including work planning, training requirements, records management, obtaining required tools, identifying staffing requirements. You will determine funding requirements for centralize inspection programs. You will oversee maintenance inventory for inspection programs and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), databases, and spreadsheets to track work. You will coordinate and partner with customers to identify and prioritize facility inspection requirements and obtain funding. You will coordinate plan and spec reviews by team for new construction and writes scopes and estimates for contract actions in support of programs. You will manage the asbestos program for NAVFAC Washington.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising or leading a diverse team of professional and technical personnel providing facilities management work and services and support the Commands Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program; 2) Managing inspection programs for facilities maintenance, i.e. elevator, backflow prevention, and fire protect including work planning, training requirements, records management, obtaining required tools, identifying staffing requirements, and overseeing execution; 3) Overseeing maintenance inventory for inspection programs and utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), databases, and spreadsheets to track work; 4) Coordinating and partnering with customers to identify and prioritize facility inspection requirements and obtain required funding 5) Coordinating plan and spec reviews by team for new construction and writes scopes and estimates for contract actions in support of programs; and 6) Managing the asbestos program for NAVFAC Washington.
