About the Position:
This is a permanent position with Headquarters (HQs), US Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Contingency Operations located at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO); 441 G. Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20314.
This position will be filled on a permanent basis. A Relocation Incentive May Be Authorized.
Duties
Serves as Administrative Officer; provides advisory services on administrative support operations, execution of budgeting, manpower and financial management, resource allocation, office automation, information systems development and maintenance.
Develops administrative policy implementation for issuance to divisions to insure implementation of the decisions, priorities, and other actions emanating from the Director.
Carries out high priority assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Director on a wide variety of sensitive and confidential matters.
Maintains high standards for executive actions in terms of timeliness, and completeness such as, staff actions, briefings, and participation in conferences, and budget meetings.
Provides guidance to division chiefs on topics, including budget, manpower allocations, physical space assignment, and personnel management.
Serves as a liaison between the Directorate, other Organizations, and the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) to coordinate aspects of the submission of personnel actions, awards and evaluations.
Develops operating budgets, to ensure that funds are used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process.
