You will serve as a FORCE STRUCTURE ANALYST in the MARITIME HEADQUARTERS, FLEET WARFARE REQUIREMENTS, RESOURCES and FORCE STRUCTURE DIRECTORATE of COMMANDER, U.S. PACIFIC FLEET.

Duties

You will serve as the primary analyst and lead administrator for all force structure-related issues. You will develop, review, staff, and track all Navy Organization Change Request (OCR) to establish, disestablish or modify any operational unit, shore activity, or formal detachment assigned to USPACFLT. You will support Overseas Force Structure Change-Host Nation Notification (OFSC-HNN) staffing on the introduction, change, or removal of assigned forces overseas with OPNAV and USINDOPACOM staffs. You will track naval forces to include aircraft, ships, submarines, expeditionary units, operational staffs, combat support units, cyber units, space units, unmanned systems, shore activities, and formal detachments. You will track naval forces using the OCR tracker, programmatic databases, Strategic Laydown and Dispersal (SLD) plans, Forward Deployed Naval Force (FDNF) rotation plans, and congressional records. You will support the SLD development and integration-assessment review process on the homeporting, homebasing, and hubbing of naval forces. You will support the annual update of USINDOPACOM Theater Posture Plan using the Navy SLD Plan as basis for future posturing of forces, footprints, and agreements in the Indo-Asia Pacific region. You will provide analytical support on the employment of the force to include periodic reviews on Global Force Management (GFM) Slider schedules, Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP), and Numbered Fleet Commander schedules.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, designing and analyzing Naval programs, organizational structure, and warfare systems.
