The recent graduates program targets individuals who have graduated recently from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, career development program.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - DBC/SERVICES DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE.
Duties
Analyzes technical and/or administrative personnel programs that require examination of information which may be conflicting or difficult to document.
Conducts mission studies in order to make recommendations that may affect programs within the agency.
Prepares visual aids that include charts, graphs, and staffing data in various formats.
Supports DISA in long-range personnel planning that includes tracking, consolidating and coordinating available resources.
Exhibits the ability to disseminate information on a wide variety of personnel matters in a timely manner.
Displays knowledge of organization's goals, agency regulations, automation processes, and resource utilization.
Duties will be developmental in nature.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-05, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience assisting in analytical studies to improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management with work being reviewed.
To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience with utilizing analytical studies to improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management with work being reviewed.
To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: performing a variety of analytical studies, surveys, and projects to analyze findings and make recommendations on operating programs and/or procedures to improve processes and policies.

Education
GS-05 Substitution of Education for Experience: four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

GG-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.

GG-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.
