About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Fort Moore, Ga. The MCOE is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking are available.

Duties

Develop and implement plans and generates command input and responses to the Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA). Knowledge of manpower structure to effectively develop and assist management in creating appropriate organization structure of the command. Supervise a staff of civilian employees whose duties include strategic manpower and force management analysis. Develop manpower guidance for subordinate activities, and perform continuous assessment of the utilization of command manpower resources. Develop and prepare Concept Plans and Cost Benefit Analysis.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Including managing, coordinating, and executing the Manpower and Tables of Distribution and Allowances, Modified Tables of Organization and Equipment and Force Management for an organization; determining the effectiveness of generated data in support of manpower activities; providing training and development requirements for employee to enhance their work experience; and conducting studies to appraise effectiveness and improvement of the program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
