About the Position: Serves as an Ammunition System Management Specialist supporting the establishment of Single Army Logistics Enterprise (SALE), deployment of Logistics Modernization Program and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) efforts This is a Permanent Position. Duties

Serves as an Ammunition System Management Specialist supporting the sustainment of the Logistics Modernization Program, implementation of Enterprise Business Systems Convergence, and other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) efforts. Serves as a JMC and ammunition focal point for ERP requirements. Analyses of systems, procedures, methods, and practices pertaining to automated data processing/automatic information technology (AIT) system applications Support business process owners with requirements for modernization, improvement, or re-engineering of business processes in support of ammunition operations. Conducts studies and analysis of procedures and methods pertaining to the LMP business process capabilities.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. n.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

GS-9: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting with munitions program for supply chain management; AND 2) Gathering data concerning requirements needed for various munition management systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. (if related) in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting with analyzing technical data concerning requirements needed for various munition management systems such as Enterprise Business systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or Logistics Modernization Planning elements; AND 2) Providing assistance at any stage of the munitions supply chain. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. (if related) in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing technical recommendations for various munitions systems such as Enterprise Business systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or Logistics Modernization Planning elements; AND 2) Providing assistance with customer support of munition management systems such as replies to ideas, inquires, proposals, reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-12, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
