You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CAT 3/4) in the FACILITIES ENGINEER AND ACQUISITION DIVISON of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will analyze and review technical engineering instructions and procedures.
You will coordinate or schedule maintenance and repairs of evaluation equipment as required.
You will collect data and test results to troubleshoot and correct or plan for correction of mechanical problems.
You will interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals and data files to gather information related to engineering tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
GS-10:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Utilizing engineering disciplines resolve problems involving technical matters that cross trade fields; 2) Administering contracting procedures, methods, and clauses used in the construction or maintenance of public works facilities in order to support other departments with work specifications, requirements, and estimates; 3) Providing project management support and identifying where specific project quality requirements are not being met; 4) Recommending solutions to project problems as they are encountered before, during, and after execution; and 5) Assessing the potential impact of proposed actions on public safety, ecology and energy conservation with minimal guidance. GS-09:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Interpreting and applying safety, environmental, and energy conservation regulations and instructions; 2) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical manuals; 3) Communicating effectively; orally and via written communication; and 4) Utilizing micro- computers and application software to prepare cost estimates, job plans, specifications, fills of material, and schedules.
