About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with the Director for Healthcare Operations Department of Managed Care Business Decision Support, Bethesda Maryland.

Duties
Design and organize filing systems, prepare information for the tracking of projects, correspondence, and statistical reports.
Prepare authorized requests for information such as status of eligibility, suspense dates for matters concerning compliance, and information available from medical records.
Monitor and assist in the preparation of the annual budget, determining whether requests for funds and expenditures are proper, justified, and timely.
Monitor and coordinate clinical staffing requirements for resourcing providers to their clinical areas within MHSG. Validate and approve security keys to clinical personnel and ensure that mapping/resourcing of providers is correct.
Identify problems with health care processes and recommend alternatives to improve processes, identifying and reporting any quality improvement issues.
Monitor clinical appointment release and ensure that appointments are available within DHA requirements and that appointments are maximized per DHA expectations.
Accumulate, develop, maintain, interpret, and analyzes a variety of statistical, access to care, and demographic data including charts, graphs, and/or reports data (e.g., operative case log reports, ambulatory data system reports, etc.).
Manage and maintain MHSG clinical templates and schedules.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist in coordinating and consulting with department supervisors on program administrative matters; assist in monitoring and coordinating access to care concerns; assisting in the resourcing of providers; and assist in analyzing a variety of statistical and demographic data including charts, graphs, and/or reports data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating and consulting with department supervisors on program administrative matters; monitoring and coordinating access to care concerns; assisting in the resourcing of providers; and analyzing a variety of statistical and demographic data including charts, graphs, and/or reports data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
