You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Public Works Business Line, Facilities Management and Sustainment (FM&S) Product Line. DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will analyze Smart Grid/BCS data to identify ongoing or reoccurring HVAC/DDC issues You will update MAXIMO records with HVAC system information and ensures accuracy of existing MAXIMO records. You will monitor, program, trend data, modify, schedule, reset, and analyze problems in operating HVAC/DDC equipment. You will monitor Smart Grid analytic software for alerts/alarms. You will analyze, on a day-to-day basis, the Building Control Systems (BCS) of facilities integrated into the FEOC/Smart Grid. You will use computer software applications to document technical work, compile data, prepare reports, or perform research.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilize Advanced Direct Digital Control (DDC) concepts and other operating systems such as, but not limited to, Metasys (Johnson Controls), Automated Logic, and Siemens; 2) Interpret electrical and electronic block diagrams, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, engineering drawings, and electrical and electronic schematics to understand the construction and operation of the industrial controls; 3) Communicate both orally and in writing to gather, analyze, and present data and supporting analyses during oral presentations; 4) Monitor and determine temperature, flow, status, configuration and staging of HVAC systems. GS-11- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitor, program, modify, schedule, reset, and analyze problems in operating HVAC equipment; 2) Utilize MAXIMO or similar Computer Based Maintenance Management (CBMM) programs; 3) Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to plan and direct the work; 4) Read engineering plans and specifications to understand the construction and operation of the industrial controls.
