This position serves as program assistant to the Service Chief, and the Administrative Officer of Imaging Service. Incumbent is responsible for tracking alt radiological exams for Charlie Norwood VAMC, Augusta Outpatient Clinic to ensure the service is in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Program Management-
various duties involving different and unrelated processes and methods;
work involves conditions and elements that must be identified and analyzed to discern interrelationships;
work involves the execution of specific rules, regulations, or procedures and typically comprises a complete segment of an assignment or project of broader scope;
Data Collection & Tracking Support-
involving the collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of the department's operation;
Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies;
Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports;
Preforms other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications
o qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/15/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS-6 grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Extensive knowledge of VA policies and procedures. extensive knowledge of VA policies and procedures including knowledge of and reports used for both internal purposes and VHA. Knowledge of principles, practices, processes and techniques and ability to apply them to a health care delivery system and broad knowledge of healthcare data systems, Electronic Health Records (EHR) and principles relating to these areas. Skilled in written and verbal communications. Ability to utilize MS Office Suite to develop and edit spreadsheets, documents, and presentations to graphically display data. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Ability to use a project-oriented approach to task completion and revise or develop procedures, techniques, or operational concepts. Responsible for supporting Service line management, clinical systems informatics, and chief of staff designated committees as delegated by the Service Line Chief, Administrative Officer or Chief, Technologist.

Physical Requirements: Position requires walking, standing, bending, and prolonged periods of sitting, computer workload as well as the emotional stability to handle difficult problem-solving situations.
