Duties

You will ensure the contractor provides requisite workmanship and documentation in compliance with the contract requirements. You will provide accurate information, ideas and conclusions clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. You will review production schedules, status of work in progress, availability of skills, the estimated time for completion of work, and the maintenance and preparation of reports detailing work completed. You will ensure work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met. You will prepare reports, maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with Standard Items (NAVSEA), military and commercial specifications and standards, naval drawings, shipbuilding/ship repair practices and industrial processes. Experience developing detailed reports, documents, correspondences and making recommendations, concerning labor conditions, production costs, methods, processes and material costs related to the ship repair industry. Experience analyzing contractor reports and provide detailed statements of work including estimates of labor and material requirements. Experience utilizing automated data processing equipment and various software programs for the preparation of work specifications during planning of shipbuilding, ship repair and modernization availabilities.
