About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Administration, Patient Administration, Honolulu Hawaii.

Duties

Serves as a Health Systems Specialist (PEBLO) performing duties in support of the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) for Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. Performs counseling, data collection, medical coordination and procedure work related to Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) processing and Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) reevaluations. Counsels military personnel from all branches of the uniformed services, retirees, and the Families of those being processed through the Physical Disability Evaluation System on their rights, benefits, privileges, or obligations. Coordinates evaluation appointments; schedules follow-up appointments for National Guard and Reserve Component (RC) personnel for approved line of duty (LOD) related injuries. Advises Soldier of the necessity of obtaining sufficient documentation (medical and non-medical) concerning the Soldier's ability to perform military duties and the severity of the Soldier's disease or injury. Responsible for the preparation and conduct of various briefings and training relevant to the APDES to the installation leadership, Soldiers, installation Town Hall Meetings, Warrior Transition Unit, support staff.

• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
