About the Position: This position is located in Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific on the campus of Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Duties
Provide administrative management to support health care delivery.
Consult with leadership regarding overall health systems management, business planning, utilization and resource management, strategic planning, clinical capabilities.
Plan and carry out assignments and special projects as assigned by Defense Health Network (DHN) Indo-Pacific Assistant Director for Healthcare Operations.
Coordinate tasking to team members including milestones, schedules, and deadlines to achieve established objectives.
Identify and recommend strategies and initiates changes in policies, procedures and protocols to improve beneficiary access to care.
Reduce administrative burdens in delivery of healthcare services to beneficiaries and optimize cost-effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
Provide technical advice and assistance to Military Treatment Facility (MTF) and DHN leadership on all health program functions within their departments.
Resolve complex, controversial issues satisfactorily between government and contractor, while taking into full consideration the wide range of requirements that affect the programmed budgets.
Oversee data analysis for healthcare delivery, prepare reports and proposals for submission to all levels of leadership.
Document work performance and periodically reviews position descriptions with employees and discusses performance standards for their positions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Performing data analysis to identify trends and develop solutions to complex problems to support the productivity of health care operations; 2) Participating in the strategic planning of resource management and business operations; 3) Defining requirements for effective analysis of health system programs and policies; and 4) Leading or managing the workload of subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
