About the Position: Serves as the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) manager supporting a Medical Readiness Command (MRC) in the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM). Works under the supervision of the respective Medical Readiness Command's Support Office Chief or designee, as the Program Chief for the medical component of the EFMP in their area of responsibility.
Duties
Trains all EFMP and FMTS personnel on DoD, DHA, Army, and higher headquarters policies and procedures.
Performs staff officer duties at the region level with the ability to author, coordinate, and staff policies to standardize procedures throughout the region.
Plans and assigns work to subordinates setting priorities and suspense date for work completion.
Requirements
- Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
- Up to 20% TDY may be required

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
