About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Pediatrics in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Duties
Interpret and apply applicable federal law, DoD Instructions, directives, professional health care standards.
Review and inspect Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) to ensure compliance with the applicable publications.
Prepare goals and requirements for the EFMP related services and modify them as appropriate to meet legislative changes of new policies and regulations.
Make recommendations to higher headquarters on assessment criteria and standards for assessing the quality and effectiveness.
Coordinate with Human Resource Command on assignment issues. Identifies trends by compiling data and recommends solutions to process issues.
Train all personnel on the regulatory guidance and issuance of new regulations as they pertain to identification, screening and enrollment of service members and their families.
Provide oversight and administrative direction to related services providers and personnel in concert with the mission, values, philosophy and objectives.
Direct quality assessment and improvement to related services personnel.
Research and assist in the adjudication of potential family travel circumvention cases and appeals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series unless exempt IAW Army Regulation 40-562.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Coordinating Exceptional Family Member Program activities and resources; 2) Overseeing the effectiveness of administrative services in a hospital setting; and 3) Analyzing policies and regulations that affect clinic health care delivery systems.
