You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) San Diego, Integrated Logistics Overhaul (ILO)/Phased Maintenance Review (PMR) branch, Engineering Intgrated Logistics Support Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will update maintenance databases related to ship's records.
You will provide configuration and logistics support to Fleet units executing the Phased Maintenance Review's objective to improve logistics readiness and maintenance support by following processes established to validate/document Ship configuration
You will coordinate and indentify all configuration management, ILS and material requirements for the class team, CNO Availabilities focusing on configuration, validation and identification of equipment.
You will be responsible for the receipt and inventory of Support Equipment, along with the maintenance requirements for PMS to be placed on next Ships Force Revision (SFR).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Logistics Management Specialist work in support of maintenance operations, plans and programs in order to integrate functional applications and resolve system problems. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Conferring with contractors, ship's force and representatives of other organizations on equipment problems in their area of expertise and knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures used in the design, procurement, overhaul, maintenance, modification and/or repair of assigned equipment; 2)Knowledge of computer input and information retrieval to enter configuration change data into computer database and obtain automated reports; and 3)Complete understanding of function and operating requirements for Navy Shipboard configuration and ILS program, automated data processing and provisioning technical documentation (PTD).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
