You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Naval Education and Training Command, Center for Service Support of NTTC DET DEFENSE INFO SCH.

Duties

You will advise internal and external customers on agency administrative policies and procedures. You will use an automated travel system (e.g., Defense Travel System [DTS] or similar system) to review or approve temporary assignments. You will brief senior leaders on business and financial management policy updates.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing travel procedures and regulations in travel systems according to policies and procedures; 2) Administering an awards and decorations program using regulations, policies, and procedures; 3) Establishing workflow methods and procedures to determine work to be accomplished within management system/office automation applications; 4) Gathering and coordinating information for the conduct of studies concerning organization missions, functions, work measurement, and other work processes toward the improvement of organizational efficiency and productivity; and 5) Developing, implementing, and coordinating administrative processes, procedures, and actions to meet mission requirements. Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary. Some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light office items is required. Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office seting.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education:

I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
I have completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
OR
I have a LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
