You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Supply Chain Execution (SCE) Division of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH.
Duties
You will interface with and support DoD and Navy program management and supporting organizations for assigned programs, participating in the development of operational logistics support with emphasis on ordnance supply support.
You will participate in planning for and assurance of effective operational logistics and supply support for all phases of their life cycle, including
components, subassemblies, and specialized ancillary equioment.
You will advise management of ongoing and projected initiatives/issues, develop and implement plans of action needed to resolve program support issues, and improve/correct work processes though regular situational reports
You will review and participate in the development of program logistics plans and contractual Statements Of Work (SOW), providing recommendations to program management for content and/or changes to content as required to ensure requirements are met.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Developing and implementing plans of actions needed to resolve program support issues; 2) Providing for the timely and effective establishment of logistics support for programs in various life cycle phases (e.g. engineering development, production/deployment, in-service, in-service, divestment/demil/disposal); 3)Ability to read standard MILSTRI/MILSTRAP; and 4) Monitoring, initiating and overseeing the completion of actions to ensure compliance with approved plans.
For GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Developing and implementing plans of actions needed to resolve program support issues; 2) Providing for the timely and effective establishment of logistics support for programs in various life cycle phases (e.g. engineering development, production/deployment, in-service, in-service, divestment/demil/disposal); 3)Ability to read standard MILSTRI/MILSTRAP; and 4) Monitoring, initiating and overseeing the completion of actions to ensure compliance with approved plans.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
