Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the branch, ensuring that manpower and personnel complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and human capital strategies. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies OPM, DoD, AF, AFMC, AFRL and local regulatory guidance and policy directives pertaining to the manpower/personnel functional area. Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of manpower and personnel activities. As a supervisor, plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Identifies need for changes in priorities and takes action to implement such changes. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with 711th Human Performance Wing personnel, and command-level personnel in both AFRL and AFMC. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise. Provides or ensures that subordinates provide customer guidance and training. Assesses the organizations of the 711th Human Performance Wing to determine long-range functional manning requirements. Assures that human resources support capability is maintained through effective recruitment and utilization of personnel involved in the various disciplines of the organization.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, 5 days a week, Mon-Fri.

Management and Program Analysis Series 0343 (opm.gov) Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resources Good communication skills with listening, speaking, observing and writing Demonstrated outstanding abilities to lead teams, build consensus, and resolve conflicts/problems Ability to teach, motivate, develop and grow Human Resource technical teams.
