The selectee will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Office of Protective Operations, Uniformed Division Office. Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications
GS-9: You qualify for the GS-09 level (starting salary $64,957) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level performing duties such as: maintaining effective accountability and control over a wide variety of equipment, property, materials, and supply requirements; analyzing the impact of changes affecting the budgetary and financial status of inventories; tracking records data in various assets management systems; and compiling and distributing statistical reports to management; OR
A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR
A combination of specialized experience, as described above, and related graduate level education, beyond the first full year of graduate level study.
GS-11:You qualify for the GS-11 level (starting salary $78,592) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level performing duties such as: maintaining effective accountability and control over a wide variety of equipment, property, materials, and supply requirements; analyzing the impact of changes affecting the budgetary and financial status of inventories; tracking records data in various assets management systems; compiling and distributing statistical reports to management; and analyzing and evaluating alternative approaches to complex problems of acquisition, distribution and storage and reviewing reconciled invoices and monthly statement for accuracy OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; OR
A combination of specialized experience, as described above, and related graduate level education, beyond the first year of graduate level study. This will be calculated using your résumé and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current competitive service employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). You may need to submit more than one SF-50 to comply.
