About the Position:
Serves as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) to the garrison command group and staff. Works with the Installation Senior Commander, Lead SARC and command staff to manage the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Relocation incentive may be authorized.
Duties
Manage the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program for the Organization.
Provide awareness and prevention, training and education, victim advocacy, response, reporting and follow up for sexual harassment/assault issues.
Maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors.
Provide Policy, guidance and other information for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault, subordinate unit commanders, first responders, and those who seek to prevent or respond to sexual harassment/assault.
Promotes sensitive care, advocacy, treatment, reporting options for victims of sexual harassment/assault and accountability for those who commit these crimes.
Establish and provide training, technical assistance and education to ensure understanding of the SHARP Program.
Requirements
- Probationary period may be required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- This position requires the employee to successfully complete SHARP Training Course(s) within 6 months of entry on duty.
- The selectee's background will be checked against records prior to appointment and, as appropriate, on a recurring basis while employed in this SHARP position.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (Secret) clearance.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
