Salary: $63,271 (Step 01) to $82,249 (Step 10); NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.

Duties
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) serves as a national catalyst for the organization and distribution of biological, hydrological, geological, and geographical information and addresses the specific needs of the Department of the Interior and its land and resource managers. The USGS is the Nation's largest water, earth, biological science and civilian mapping agency, working in cooperation with more than 2,000 organizations across the country with numerous international communities to provide reliable, impartial, scientific information to resource managers, planners, and other customers and partners.
Qualifications
For GS-09:
**Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-09 level: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field of study which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
** OR one year of experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent 1) coordinating facility related services such as generating facility work requests, writing statements of work, monitoring facility key control systems, coordinating conference room set-up and usage and modifying employee workstations; 2) Coordinating organizational safety and safety communication programs such as safety training and identification, emergency response procedures and safety audits; 3) Coordinating employee travel including experience working with computer information systems, travel authorizations, travel vouchers and regulatory organization travel guidance; 4) Coordinating property management, material handling and fleet functions such as property acquisition, disposal and inventory; 5) Ability to communicate effectively both interpersonally and in writing. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. A physical examination is required. Must be able to maintain a vehicle operators (drivers) license.
