About the Position: Serves as a Workforce Development (WFD) Specialist for United States Army Support Activity (USASA) Fort Dix, responsible for all WFD training requirements, processing administrative actions, management of the Directorate's Army Records and Information Management System (ARIMS) & Government Purchase Card (GPC) programs.
Duties
Serves as a technical advisor and expert in the area of civilian and leader development on issues related to planning, developing and integrating the USASA Fort Dix Civilian development policies, programs, and initiatives.
Identifies, develops, and formulates requirements, strategies, and programs that integrate civilian institutional, operational, and self-development domains.
Seeks enforcement on mandated Civilian Education System (CES) requirements and develops plans and procedures for integrating civilian development training requirements with military training systems as appropriate.
Tracks progress of and provides timely updates on status of initiatives in support of organizational milestones.
Plans, develops, manages, and controls various administrative programs necessary for day-to-day operations of the office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a T1 (NACI) security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes assisting in the implementation of a professional development program for a workforce/organization; advising on policies and procedures pertaining to workforce development functions; and developing training plans to improve the development of employees.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
