The primary purpose of th.is position is to serve as a United States Air Force Mobility Operations School Logistic Readiness Plans specialist and authoritative consultant, applying Air Force and air mobility logistics readiness officer, logistics plans specialist, or Integrated Deployment Systems knowledge, to planning and executing advanced logistics training programs.
Duties
Serves as a command level logistics readiness/plans specialist, using Air Force logistics readiness/plans analyze, develop, and evaluate theater logistics issues in support of all six Geographic Combatant Commanders (AFCENT, AFEUR, AFPAC, AFNORTH, AFSOUTH and AFAFRICA), AOC Operations/Air Mobility Divisionmanagement, Commander, Air Force Forces A4 staff operations.
Serves as the Logistics Readiness and Plans Course Director.
As a Program Analyst, analyzes logistics readiness/plans processes and evaluates training issues and requirement.
Prepares and delivers oral presentations to senior leaders at the USAF EC and MAJCOM levels.

- Minimum of ten years experience in an Air Force logistics readiness discipline to apply the necessary expertise to the development of assigned programs/curriculum.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other function away from the duty site.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance for the assigned position (secret or higher)
- Successful completion of the Academic Instructor Course (AIC) or equivalent is highly desirable. If not, selectee will be required to complete the course as a condition of employment.
- Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) instructor certification is highly desirable. If not, selectee will be required to complete the course as a condition of employment.
- Successful completion of the Air Force Contingency War Planner Course (CWPC) or ALROC is highly desirable.
- May be required to instruct other USAF Expeditionary Center courses.
- May be required to manage programs and additional duties as they relate to course, branch, division, USAF MOS and USAF EC support.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the analysis of logistics planning, logistic operational doctrine, strategy, concepts of operations, and other complex issues and the skill in applying a variety of research techniques to analyze difficult issues and policies and propose recommendations/options to higher levels of management. Knowledge of Air Force Agile Combat Support Concept of Operations, specifically the six ACS master processes of Readying the Force, Preparing the Battle-space, Positioning the Force, Employing the Force, Sustaining the Force and Recovering and Reconstituting the Force.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the analysis of logistics planning, logistics operational doctrine, strategy, concepts of operations, and other complex issues and the skill in applying a variety of research techniques to analyze difficult issues arid policies and propose recommendations/options to higher levels of management.
2. Thorough Air Force logistics readiness/plans knowledge in one or more of the following areas; AOC staff, staff, MAJCOM staff; wing and squadron level logistics readiness operations.
3. Thorough knowledge of Air Force and DOD logistics readiness/plans management and operations policies, procedures programs and the Air Force War Planning and Execution family of systems (e.g., LOGMOD, DCAPES, LOGFAC, CMOS, Automated Air Load Planning Systems, Joint Operations Planning and Execution System.
4. Knowledge of Air Force Agile Combat Support Concept of Operations, specifically the six ACS master processes Readying the Force, Preparing the Battle-space, Positioning the Force, Employing the Force, Sustaining the Force and Recovering and Reconstituting the Force.
5. Skill in the applications of logistics readiness and logistics plans expertise as it applies to the assigned logistics rea training programs.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written communication to include in writing course curriculum, conducting instruction, and briefing a wide variety of high-ranking military personnel; ability to work harmoniously maintain professional relationships with others; and ability to coordinate, integrate, and employ airlift assets.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
