You will serve as a IT Specialist (SYSTEMANALYSIS) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER.

Duties

You will develop proposed design approach and validate with customers. You will assist with identifying, defining, and modifying interfaces with other systems or applications. You will provide customer support to explain how the system operates and or research unexpected results. You will develop over all test plans for area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Systems Requirement Planner level Intermediate within 12 months of appt.

Qualifications

GS 9: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of information technology (IT) policies, procedures, regulations, rules, standards, precedents and other guidelines of supporting IT systems and/or services, in performing duties that include the following: 1) Having broad knowledge of computers, systems, hardware, software, and data communication techniques to carry out general assignments; 2) Performing analytical work concerned with integrated systems, computer programs, and/or equipment; 3) Assisting in the development of functional requirements and specifications for systems that meet business requirement; 4) Ability to communicate technical information related to information technology to peers, managers, and/or users; 5) Solving problems in an IT or related environment. GS 11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of information technology (IT) policies, procedures, regulations, rules, standards, precedents and other guidelines of supporting IT systems and/or services, in performing duties that include the following: 1) Working knowledge of functional systems design duties involved with the development and/or maintenance of one or more complete systems, applications, or equivalent; 2) Planning and implementing IT design studies to determine feasibility of requirements and potential design alternatives; 3) Planning and delivering customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, validation, and training; 4) Providing technical advice or direction to customers, sponsors, and user representatives. Education

GS-09: Possess a master's degree or equivalent degree, or, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

GS-11: Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
