You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) within NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. #LI-NAVSUPBSC

Duties

You will assess and adjust workload priorities, project and/or program emphasis, resource allocation, organizational structure, and personnel responsibilities to meet changing needs. You will perform supervisory duties such as evaluating personnel performance, resolving personnel issues, selecting personnel, and developing and training staff. You will be responsible for carrying out EEO policies in making personnel decisions. You will provide advice and technical assistance to other NAVSUP departments. You will serve as a member of the NAVSUP Business Systems Center Management Council which identifies, discusses, and resolves administrative issues affecting the Command. You will assist in directing strategic planning, policy development, program direction, and evaluation of the Department.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services throughout the agency. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Planning, directing, and implementing a variety of systems and programs such as logistics solutions, core business solutions, technology services, and data analytics solutions with Enterprise impact; 2) Overseeing the development of project plans, including research assessments and the evaluation of alternative approaches and recommendation of specific strategies to pursue; 3) Providing technical guidance and recommendations to senior management and technical specialists on a wide range of critical IT issues; 4) Performing administrative duties evaluating personnel performance, resolving personnel problems, and developing and training subordinate staff; 5) Providing technical expertise for the sustainment of internal processes; 6) Engaging in strategic planning of future system architecture and providing recommendations on resource allocation and priorities for system development. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
