About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Interpret, relates, performs research and implements new directives and procedures from higher authority. Perform technical analytical and procedural studies involving complex automation systems and subsystems. Develop and compiles charts and graphs of data for presentation to management and higher authority. Conduct feasibility and application studies regarding automation of various functions and activities where automation is feasible and economical. Coordinate and loads master data relating to Material Master records, BOMs, Work Centers and routes into LMP. Implement changes from higher command by analyzing impact and determining whether formal training of user is required. Maintain liaison with higher authority and other government agencies concerning capabilities, policies, plans and other matters affecting the mission. Administer the personnel management program. Direct, coordinates, or oversees group coordinators and subordinates. Exercise significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, or in advising management officials of higher rank.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 1 certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
