About the Position:The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Reviews and performs research tasks using the Logistic Modernization Program (LMP).
Provides management support services in preparation of the internal operating budget (IOB) for the Maintenance Directorates.
Ensures that funding is accepted and established in proper funding channels by Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Provides technical and administrative supervision to subordinates assigned to the Budget and Workload Analysis Branch, Mission Analysis Division, DPM.
Consults with operating personnel to obtain information pertaining to operational or costing problems.
Develops and prepares charts, plans, and other material necessary for supporting recommendations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Incumbent is required to complete Financial Management Certification Level 2 within 24 months in designated position.
- Incumbent is required to complete Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience is equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes experience with budget preparation and execution for the maintenance directorate operations. Knowledge of the organization, the production activity and its relationships to both staff and support activity. Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, instructions and procedures governing production operations which affects the use of program and related support resources. Incumbent must have the ability to interpret technical data and instructions and relate them properly to the assigned project.
