Duties
Participates in budget meetings concerning the operating programs of the group and advises on the financial status of programs, discusses operations of the group, progress and accomplishments, and probable effects of alternative actions.
Analyzes and interprets headquarters program and budgetary guidance.
Reviews and ensures timely and accurate completion of designated responsibilities and assigned tasks.
Serves as the first line supervisor over a Group RMO section consisting of four personnel and is the higher-level reviewer for two battalion resource manager personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- TDY travel is required 10% of the time.
- Must obtain and maintain required FM level 2 certification within two years of appointment.
- One-year probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity.2) Applying knowledge of financial life-cycle management, structure and policies sufficient for budget formulation and execution; 3) Analyzing financial data sufficient to evaluate existing program, funding authority and problem transactions in order to provide decision support; and 4) Applying knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods sufficient to conduct extensive cost studies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
