About the Position: The Financial Management Analyst position is located at Headquarters, US Army Forces Command, Fort Liberty, NC. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities.

Duties

Represent the command on Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC). Analysis and evaluate all aspects of accounting, management control and risk management. Oversee and support the daily activities of a work assigned to assist in carrying out the operations of the unit. Interpret policies and procedures generated by higher headquarters to include implications of immediate-and long-range management activities, plans, and decisions.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • Position requires business/temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25%.
  • Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification level 2.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFinancial Concepts, Policies, and PrinciplesFinancial Management SystemsPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
