About the Position: As the Resource Officer, Budget Division, ODCS, G-8, the incumbent is responsible for the budgeting, execution, and evaluation of FORSCOM's multi-appropriation, multi-billion dollar program supporting over seven hundred thousand soldiers and civilians worldwide. Primary liaison with FORSCOM staff principals on budget matters.
Duties
Develop financial policy consistent with the missions and objectives of the Command and with resource guidance.
Key budget advisor and consultant at the ACOM level, is responsible for formulating and justifying a major segment of the Army budgetary plan.
Establish the master schedule for logical sequencing and timely accomplishment of the current year budgeting and execution.

Key advisor and consultant at the ACOM level on budget: provides financial advisory services throughout DoD.
Provide the highest levels of agency management with financial information.
Supervise through four subordinate supervisors, over thirty military and civilian personnel.
Ensure continuity of division operations and completion of requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This is a drug test position, the duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs.
- Position requires TDY up to 25% of the time.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-14 or above.
