These positions are assigned to MWR, Community Recreation Division, and will be referred out to the Pools. This is a seasonal position Not to exceed 09/30/2025. Duties

Manages all swimming lessons and instructs, and develops swim program. Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students. Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactory completion of all required background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13. i. is required to include a health screening.
• In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
• Be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Work experience related to the duties described above and possession (or in the process of obtaining) of the following certificates: Water Safety Instructor Certification Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) First Aid Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable) Highly desirable possession of a Lifeguard Certification.
