Duties

Works under the administrative and technical supervision of the Recreation Specialist (Program Manager) Tasks or projects are performed with a minimum of supervision, and incumbent independently performs regular and recurring work. Assist in the planning/establishing of objectives and goals for the facility. Helps plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for a variety of sponsored special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Serves as shift manager during absence of Recreation Specialist (Program Manager).

• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2, and a Childcare Tier 1 background investigation is required.

Qualifications

Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed: One (1) year work experience leading a staff of employees in support of outdoor recreational activities such as assisting with planning sponsored events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions. OR Successful completion of a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation of physical education. Experience must be clearly stated on your resume in order to receive consideration. Assumptions will not be made regarding your experience and the duties performed.
