This position is assigned to MWR, Community Recreation Division, and will be referred out to the Gyms. The initial cut-off date for this vacancy is 10/25/2023. Duties

Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Assists with publicity of programs and events. Assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED; MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
• Be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Possess directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Applicants who possess the following Highly Preferred Criteria will be rated amongst the highly preferred: Highly Desirable: Possession of a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.
