You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will review and may generate feasibility studies, point papers, and like documents to direct the implementation of changes affecting supply functions. You will input budget and manpower requirements in the applicable databases. You will attend meetings and participate in installation Department Head meetings and committees. You will collaborate with other regional counterparts as required and apply experience, judgement, and innovation in the direction, coordination, and administration of daily logistics and supply systems.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing budget forecasting/input for the department operating budget; 2) Analyzing metrics and operations independently and resolving difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures; 3) Managing an inventory with variable annual funding; 4) Implementing the traffic management policies, regulations, instructions, and methods through the application of technical expertise in the area of shipment mode selection, hazardous material selection, and freight classification and rating for a wide variety of commodities to and from world destinations; 5) Providing leadership and expert guidance necessary to maintain an effective and productive work force and ensuring a continuous flow and exchange of information between management and employees.
